HOPE: What is your Vision for 2013?

As 2012 is closing and 2013 is in the horizon and shining light of hope for the future; are you spending time in reflection?

I have heard too often the past 3 weeks from clients, friends, family, and acquaintances:

Confused, Lost Focus, Overwhelmed, Too Much To Do, Everyone Wants/Needs a "Piece" of Me. If you can identify with any of these statements; there is HOPE to finish out the year in harmony, focus, purpose, passion, and a plan for 2013.

By creating a Vision Statement it helps guide change in our life and protective boundaries from outside influences that challenge who we are, believe, and purpose.

"While we cannot control or dictate the behavior of others, a vision statement about how we wish to conduct ourselves, and the "tone of being" thta we desire to maintain, will definitely become a sifting and filtering device, a necessary protective boundary, and a magnet for others." (L.B.Jones)

How to start creating your own
Vision and Mission of HOPE:

Example: If I make money, I want to be thriving
Change to:  I am thriving and giving to my community
Example: I want to say "yes" to the people and events that mean something to me
Change to:  I say "yes" to ______
  Example: I have paying clients
Change to: My clients pay me well and delight in and cherish me...

We don't know what the future holds.
We only know it's starting now.
Looking forward brings hope.
Be optimistic: Vision the future of how you want it to be and not how it is.

VISION OF GRACE: Stuck In A Snowbank

I love December as it is always a time of reflection, planning, and visions of the future.
Friday December 7th I spent time on a call with my team and mentor Paul Martinelli. While waiting in the queue I write a list of praises, wins, shout-outs, and questions. I like to be direct and down to business so we all have an opportunity to share and ask questions during our time together.

When queued to the call a bit of introduction and then I stated "Well you know how I am, right down to business", Paul then stalled my list to get me off of the "right down to business" track and into a personal one. Paul asked about my family, holiday plans, traditions, what our holidays will look like 5 years from now.

  • First, Iam thrown off track because these questions are not on my ‘list’.
  • Secondly, These are personal questions and usually people do not ask me personal questions.
  • Thirdly, I am the one who asks other people about themselves…why can I not quickly vision and answer the questions?
I was STUCK, unable to be flexible in thought and/or share family traditions and what our family will be doing and look like 5 years from now? I knew this needed some deep reflection and correction.

Saturday Tim and I went XC skiing which is one of our favorite things to do. The conditions were great with a gray, sunny, snowflake lit sky (yes, there such phenomenon of gray and sunny sky at the same time).  This is always a great time for deep reflection with the fresh air, beauty of God all around, and endorphin kick helps too. So my reflection was of the conversation with Paul the previous day.

Mantra While Skiing:
TT get real and visions the abundance of your life!
Vision it, live it, start breathing it.

Times in life when I injury myself spiritually or physically is when I am playing it too safe or reckless (without knowledge). This day I reminded myself of playing it too safe while skiing. There was a dip/hazard in the trail and to tackle this hazard is to hop-skip across with your skis on (basically invovles balance of core, legs, and skis).

Vision of Grace: Distracted by my mantra I slowed down and played the hazard safe by slowly sliding down the slipe, the tips of  my skis went straight into the opposit slope and NOW I WAS STUCK! Face down, arms sprawled, the back of my skis and my bum bum are straight up in the air. I played it safe, by not visioning the abundance of success over the hazard = stuck!

Lesson: Remember when moving forward do so with intention, momentum, vision, grace, and humility.

Keep Your Tips Up,
Tracy Worley
P.S. I have my vision of family, traditions, and how many Hello Kitty Band-Aids needed for bruised knees and stubbed toes.

SNOWFLAKES AND WINKS

It is amazing when awareness brings us full circle. Recently my friend Kelly Stengem  and I got together for a wonderful cup of coffee, sunshine, sharing life stories, collaborating, and nurturing a new friendship. Kelly taught me the phrase "God Winks", which means when we are aware of the blessings, abundance, and success set before us, is when God Winks at us.

I have been re-reading a book this past week by Laurie Beth Jones. Laurie shares her relationship with Jesus and from a young age she asked when He is close and thinking of her to send a lady bug (God Wink).

This is a wow moment for me, as we are all longing for a deep relationship. I cannot think of a better way to know he is Thinking of Me, Is With Me, and Loves Me to ask God to send a Wink.

In deep reflection from the awareness of my conversation with Kelly, personal journal, and rereading Laurie's book, my prayer and personal note I asked for is a snowflake. Some of you may ask how can God send you a snowflake when it is July or when you are speaking in the welcomed heat of the dessert.

I believe and have faith with God anything is possible, so if it is a single snowflake in the heat of summer or other possibilities to show me he is thinking of me, is with me, and loves me. Within one week God has given me several snowflakes and one in particular came from my dear friend Stacy Jennings.

Stacy came by my office and on her hand is a snowflake ring. I giggled, and told her I love her ring. Stacy told me she had just acquired it from a cupcake top for a co-workers party. I proceeded to tell Stacy about my journey and how a snowflake is my God wink. When we are aware of gifts, abundance, and miracles they really do happen even through us. Sharing this story with Stacy also set her back onto a path of awareness of the miracles she sees and experiences everyday.

A few of my God Winks this week:
  •  SNOW FLAKE BOOK COVER
  • STACY JENNINGS RING
  • LIGHT SPRINKLING OF FLAKES WHILE WORKING THROUGH A CHALLENGE
  • PRIVATE NOTE FROM A FRIEND (WHO HAS NO IDEA ABOUT MY WINK)

WHAT IS YOUR GOD WINK?
